Chief Othuke Otunumeruke
A Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Oyede, Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, Chief Othuke Otunumeruke, has advised the people of Oyede, Deltans and Nigerians in general to ensure they register for their Permanent Voters’ Card, PVC, ahead of the forth coming general elections, noting that, their votes will counts.
Chief Otunumeruke stated this in a chat with Journalists on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, in Ozoro headquarters of Isoko North Local Government Council, commending the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, over the new technology introduced into the voting system.
He said that; “With the emergence of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa as the Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates of our great party PDP. We are targeting to deliver a bulk votes for PDP this time around such that will guarantee victory for all PDP candidates vying for elective positions in Isoko, Delta State and Nigeria at large in the 2023 general elections
“And with this new technologies introduced by INEC, I want to assure our people that, their votes will count. I am appealing to my people that they must come out en-masse this time to register for their Permanent Voters Cards and also exercise their franchise come next general elections.
“The era of living election for hooligan is gone, they must come out with their PVCs to vote and their votes will count. Because the Machine will capture each voters face and their thumbs and that will qualify them to vote for all PDP candidates vying for elective positions across Delta State and Nigeria.”
Chief Otunumeruke further commended the party for conducting free fair and credible primaries across the country. He congratulate all PDP flagbearers as well as all those who took part in the primaries, noting that, “the victory of all the party flagbearers is a victory for all PDP faithfuls across the country. I therefore urged the leadership of the party both at State and Federal level to unite and mobilize the party supporters to get their PVCs and vote out this APC government of woes at the Federal level.”
