Otor-Owhe community in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State,  on Saturday 23rd,  July 2022, honoured Sir, Builder Blessing Obomovo, and five other sons and daughters of the community for their humanitarian services and contributing selflessly to community development.

Blessing Obomovo,  was honoured with an award of Excellence in recognition of his immense contributions to the development of Youths and Sports, alongside Engr. Jerry & Mrs Flora Utunedi, for Community Educational Development Award.

Others are, AIG Felix Ogbaudu, for community Educational development award, Mr Innocent Udu, for community Educational development award, Sir (Hon) Tony & Lady Juliana Okwabor, for community Educational development award, Engr. Wilfred Atunu, for community Educational development award and Mrs. Eunice Nwokoro, for community women development award.

 

Speaking after receiving his award, Sir Obomovo commended OCDU for honouring him and other illustrious sons and daughters of the community with their various awards, noting that,  the award will motivates him and others to aim higher, achieve more, and spur them to contribute more to the development of Otor-Owhe and for humanitarian services.

 

He appealed to all Otor-Owhe Sons and Daughters in both home and diaspora to always come home and contribute their own quota to the development of the community.

 

Earlier on in his address,  the President General of Otor-Owhe Community Development Union, Engr. Wilfred Atunu, said that, the maiden edition of the O.C.D.U. Educational Assistance Scheme to deserving students of Higher institutions, featuring lecture from the erudite motivational speaker,  Dr. Charles Apoki and presentation of special Awards of Recognition to Distinguished Otor-Owhe Sons and Daughters for their sterling contributions towards the growth and development of Otor-Owhe Community through their educational support and youth development programme.
