Solomon Ortiz says “Education is the key to success in life, and teachers make a lasting impact in the lives of their students.” According to Oxford Learning Dictionary, “Education is the process of receiving or giving systematic instruction, especially at a school or university.”
For a well fulfilled life, education is very sacrosanct. It is an access to knowledge and creativity since its inception. However, being educated doesn’t guarantee prosperity but education fosters creativity, confidence and values.
No matter how worthless education could be in Nigeria, it is important to understand that engaging qualified and appropriate officers in the various sectors of the country’s economy. Involving the right persons at the right field will not only foster development, it will as well permit academias to apply the theoretical aspect learnt to boost practices on the field.
It is to be noted that the various stages of former education, starting from elementary to tertiary, are investments that pave the way for future opportunities. Investing time, effort, and money necessary to acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to excel in some chosen endeavor are achieved through education
An educated man will be engulfed with the desire to achieve more in his world, hence uneducated being will always believe his best is enough when it is not. This difference is characterized by the intelligent quotient of a literate. A knowledgeable personnel will always have the full understanding of new innovations to improve his present state.
If education is expensive, try ignorance. The significance of education can never be jettisoned. It produces creative thinkers, responsible beings and innovators. A community without 50%literates will not only lack social amenities, technological advancement, it will as well be bereaved of adequate growth and development
Having realized the value of education, our parents are keen on its necessity and appreciate it. No matter how they encourage entrepreneurship skills, they will never allow their wards to live uneducated.
Obtaining an education is expensive, but with the right education, you can achieve positive things that will pay back thousands of what you have spent while learning. Taking the expenses of education and investing it on a business or something else will not get one very far. In order to survive in today’s market, a formal education is really needed.
Have seen someone striking it rich without an education, like Steve Jobs and Bill Gates. Yes, they dropped out of school, but they only left after their venture took off. They are ignorant and their ignorance will not get very far in the present global market. No wonder they are going back to further their education
An illiterate at one point or another would have to pay someone to do so many things for them. Even the wealthy and educated have to pay others to perform certain functions, but the educated don’t need to pay many others, since they are able to perform some of these functions themselves and are likely to have an idea. Illiterates will have to pay people for almost every function, except they have no money, and usually get taken for a ride, neglected and stagnant.
However, one’s dream may not require only former education in a school or classroom. That’s fine. It makes little sense to get an education that has no value for the endeavor you have in mind. If informal education would help achieve those dreams, go for it, still apply former education to get the uniqueness, branding and packaging to make your settings classical. This idea is to acquire the kind of education that best suits your needs, goals, and dreams, in conjunction with classrooms education for greater achievement and self dependence
Although quality education is time consuming, efforts taken and costly, yet, it is the doorway to one’s dreams. Without it you will be ignorant of what you need to know to excel. And ignorance will end up costing you far more than education.
