WarrI based pastor and General Overseer of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry Church Effurun, Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin, has alleged to have ran to the younger brother to Deputy Governor of Delta State, Mr. Bullet Otuaro to save his ministry, opt for out of court settlement over a case of extortions, blackmail pending in Ughelli magistrate court. Investigation revealed that Mr. Jeremiah Omoto who arrested two warri boys, Godwin Boukan and Amos Wanki said to be working with him in the past and charged them to Court over offences bothering blackmail, extortion suddenly made U-turn to settle out of Court.

According to credible sources, prophet Jeremiah invited Mr. Bullet Otuaro on Thursday 26th November, 2020 alleged to have been offered him undisclosed amount of money to reach out to the accused for out of Court settlement.

Mr. Bullet Otuaro, after allegedly collecting the money from Prophet Jeremiah on Thursday at Mercy City, reached out to the family members of the accused persons that, Prophet Omoto want to settle the matter out of court.” He added by saying, all Omoto want is for both family members of Godwin and Wanki to meet with him, so as to settle the matter, Otuaro stated.”

On Monday 30th November, 2020, the deputy governor’s young brother use his political influence to mobilized the accused persons as well as their parents to meet with Prophet Jeremiah Omoto at his Mercyland church and alleged to have compared them to beg Mr. Omoto so as to settle out of court.

Narrating their ordeal the accused, Mr. Wanki and Godwin told our correspondent that during the meeting, they were forced to do the biddings of the Prophet with battle ready men at the premises. They were intimidated and forced to kneel down to beg Omoto against their wish.

According to them Prophet Omoto asked them to rehearse what they will say after him with video camera to capture them on record.

According to Amos Wanki, said: ” l was invited here by Prophet Jeremiah through Bullet Otuaro to settle the matter out of court. We agree to come for settlement behind camera. But unknown to us, getting here today, Omoto compel me to say what is against my wish. In other words, l was forced to say Omoto did not know anything concerning the said herbalist video criticising J Israel in front of camera.

“Prophet Jeremiah asked me to say, l should tell the world that he was not the one connived with the native doctor in the said video of his church elder blackmailing J Israel of South Africa.”

In his part, Godwin Boukan said: ” l was forced to kneel down to render apology to the man of God that he knows nothing about the trending witch doctor video that is criticising J Israel of South Africa. That was not part of our terms of agreement to come here for settlement. Bullet Otuaro deceived and betrayed our initial terms for settlement. I repeat, am innocent of the matter. Because l am young, they oppressed me to say what am not suppose to say. It shall not be well with Bullet Otuaro for betraying our trust, Boukan lamented.”

Meanwhile, it was confirmed that Prophet Jeremiah released the sum of five hundred thousand naira (#500, 000 00) instantly to those invited to settle the matter after the meeting.

According to insider source said the money was for their entertainment as well as transport logistics, Omoto stated and handed over the cash to one Gen. Bounanowei aide.

However, the accused persons expressed displeasure that they are not satisfied with the out of court settlement with Prophet Jeremiah, and that they will see their lawyer to continue with the case.

Our correspondent gather that the judgement of the blackmail case between Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin as complainant and Amos Wanki and Godwin Boukan as accused is coming up on the 3rd of December, 2020 at Ughelli magistrate Court 1 in Delta State.

Contacted on phone, Mr. Bullet Otuaro said that he played his roles as an Ijaw man to see how the matter between the pastor and two other boys were settle out of court, confirmed that he invited the accused to meet with the embattled pastor in his church, stressed that the accused plead for mercy at the said meeting held at Christ Mercy land deliverance ministry, a church founded by the embattled pastor.

Mr. Otuaro further confirmed that Prophet Omoto gave them the sum of N500,000 as entertainment and logistics at the end of the said meeting; denied the insinuation that he was contracted by Prophet Omoto for out of court settlement deal.

Godfrey bodonyefa

Godfrey bodonyefa, the Chief protocol officer accused of being the brain behind the native doctor, blackmailing Pastor J. Isreal was not also in the said meeting but credible sources revealed that he had been warned by the embattled pastor to stay indoor for now.

Contacted on phone, Mr. Godfree Bodonyefa denied knowing the Mr. Godwin and Amos, stressed that he was never aware of a meeting to settle the matter out of court.
