“Well, I don’t know who you are but I was NEVER arrested by Delta State Police Command; for what offense? I have NEVER convicted by any court in the United States for any offense except for traffic offenses that dates back 22 years ago.”

“One day soon, a hunter shall become the hunted.”

The DESTMA boss who stated this while responding to questions from our correspondent on phone noted that the offences committed that led to his conviction were traffics offences of defective machines stressed that the conviction can not make the Gov. Okowa to sack him from his current position.

He also denied the allegations that he was arrested among other staffs of DESTMA by men of the Nigeria Police from the State, headquarters, threatened our correspondent that he would soon hunt for him.

Investigations revealed that the embattled DESTMA DG was detained at the State Police headquarters in Asaba, following petitions written by a Human Rights Organizations, Young Nigerian Rights led by Mr. Victor Ojieh.

The petitions according to insider sources ranging from abuse of office, extortion of motorists and other road users, threats to life, short change of public funds among others which led to detention of Mr. Idah by police but took the intervention of Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa who pleaded with the Commissioner of Police to free him and allow him to return on a later date.

In what would be as way out for DESTMA DG to let off the hook, the Secretary to Delta State Government, Chiedu Ebie has advised him to go and make peace with the Police, Human rights organization and journalists investigating to avoid being sack by Gov. Okwa or charge to Court by Police, just as he told the embattled DESTMA DG that his recent activities has brought ridicule to Okowa led government.

Mr. Idah who boasted never to beg anyone not even the Commissioner of Police, today 11/09/2020 placed a frantic calls begging those investigating and writing petitions aginst him to advise him and his men rightly rather than writing petitions.

In the said phone conversation already in our possession also admitted that he was convicted of traffic offences in America in 1997 but pleaded for mercies from his persecutors.

According to the coordinator, Young Nigerian Rights, Victor Ojieh confirmed that the traffic convict called him in the early hours of Friday pleading with him to come to his office or schedule a meeting with him anywhere as he promised to attend the meeting where issue could be sorted out and also to avail him documents that fault some of his petitions.
