Oghara community protests forceful take over of their land by Navy

There was pandemonium in Oghareki community, a sub-clan in Oghara , Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State as residents took to the street on a peaceful protest over what they described of illegal take over of their land by Nigeria Navy.

According to the protesters explained that Nigeria Navy has forcefully take over their farmlands, brimming stones and fire vowed to deal with anyone that encroach the said land.

One of the Protest, Mr. Wilson hinted that the protest become neccessary after all efforts to stop Nigeria Navy from encroaching their farmlands, just he averred that they are now hungry as they could not access their farmlands as the battle ready men of the Nigeria Navy vowed to deal with anyone that trespass the said land.

While appealing to all authorities concern to call Nigeria Navy to stop further encroaching their farmlands, warned that they will resist all attempt by Navy to oppress them.

The protesters numbering over 200 matched through the ever busy Oghara dual carriage way down to the Ethiope West Council Secreteriat to officially register their ordeal.

Efforts to obtain comments from Navy was unsuccessful.
