Following the alleged non possession of the mandatory National Youth Service Corp, NYsC certificate by the embattled Director-General, Delta State Traffic Management Authority, DESTMA, Mr. Samuel Azubike Idah, well meaning Deltans and Civil Society Organizations has call on the Delta State governor, Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa to without delay terminate the appointment of Mr. Idah to avoid ridicule of his government.
Gov.Okowa led administration has been running smoothly, until the certificate scandal of Mr. Idah as insider Government House sources described Okowa as a meticulous personality amid integrity of his name should not by any appointee stain his name and his administration.
The call for the embattled DESTMA DG sack was made known by the Coordinator, Young Nigerians Right, a civil society organization in the State, Mr. Victor Ojieh, among other prominent Deltans, explained that a peep into the curricular vitae submitted by Mr. Idah , the embattled DG, DESTMA never reflected his NYSC certificate as a peep into the said CV obtained from Delta Assembly source revealed that Mr. Idah only did TC11/GCE in Nigeria and other certificates were said to be obtained Abroad.
According to Mr. Victor argued that someone who never served his father land cannot in any way serve through appointment, told Mr. Idah to honourably resign and continue with his real estate business.
Dependable sources within Delta Assembly noted that Mr. Samuel Azuibike Idah popularly called ‘Zubi’ never included his NYSC certificate in his CV submitted to the Assembly during screening, averred that Mr. Idah would be in better position to explain the whereabout of the said certificate, opined the leadership of the House would have thoroughly screened his CV before confirmation.
It was also gathered embattled Mr. Idah did not possessed the required ten years experience as stated in the law establishing the Agency.
It would be recalled that Mr. Idah in one of his conversation with Prominent journalist in Delta, Iteveh Ekpokpovbe disclosed that he did not have NYSC certificate.
“I can’t lie, I don’t have NYSC certificate.” Mr. Idah explained.
