Political prodigal son, Solomon Ahwinahwi returns to PDP

In what could be best described as a prodigal son in the Bible, who returned back to his father after lavishing his father's wealth in another land, where he was treated like slaves, Mr. Solomon Ahwinahwi recent return to the Peoples Democratic Party is not far from that of the prodigal son in the Bible.

Dependable sources told our correspondents that in fear of conducting final burial for his political career, Mr. Ahwinahwi after sending emissaries to the party leadership for his soft landing to the party, came back to pitch tent with the party for possible appointment by Gov. Okowa.

The greedy two-time member of the House of Representatives who represented Ughelli /Udu federal constituency after a brief sojourn in Social Democratic Party, SDP.

Mr. Ahwinahwi, who was received with jubilation by PDP leaders and
youth in his ward at Agbarho, saying that our prodigal son has return, said his brief adventure with the SDP was as
a result of pressure from his constituents for him to return to the House of
Representatives.

He noted that while he was in SDP as a political prodigal son, he still remained a PDP member at
heart because he was an orphan while in SDP, as he revealed that he campaigned extensively for the PDP and even gave directives and immense support to his campaign organisation and followers to work for Governor Ifeanyi Okowa in the gubernatorial election.

Ahwinahwi stated that his official return to the PDP fold was to strengthen
the Party in his ward where he truly belongs and promised to always
support it at all times.

Responding, the Chairman, PDP Agbarho Ward II, Ejowoke
Ovuerhi, expressed happiness that Ahwinahwi has returned to the PDP
family, noting that he is one of their financial pillars.

He stressed that while Ahwinahwi was away in SDP, he still supported the
PDP and contributed a lot to the victory of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa in the
ward.

Present at the ceremony were PDP leaders which include the PDP Ughelli
North LGA Chairman, Hon Lawrence Agbatutu, who expressed delight and
promised to spread the good news of his brother’s political homecoming;
Chief Godwin Akatakpo, Chief Akpos Edafevwotu, Chief Teddy Okperin and
General Dominic Oneya, who prayed for the good health of Solomon
Ahwinahwi. “Agbarho Kingdom agrees with you. The past is gone.
Concentration should be on the future which is far brighter, he observed”.
