Never again will illiterate be given Chieftaincy title in Oghara--Ededey

The Unugbrogodo of Ogharefe sub-clan of Oghara Kingdom in Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State, High Chief Frank Ededey has said that anyone without basic education would not be given Chieftaincy title under his reign.

Ededey disclosed this today while fielding questions from our correspondent in his Oghara country home, explained that his administration as Unugbrogodo would conferred Chieftaincy title on educated indigenes of Oghara kingdom with track records in their various field of endeavors.

While stressing that those recently conferred with Chieftaincy titles were thoroughly screened to ensure that they meet up with the criteria.

The Unugbrogodo told our correspondent that he would ensure that Oghara youths are given what is due for them in the scheme of things,  noting that Oghara youths are well educated to fit into any position, just as he poured encounium on our correspondent who interviewed him for doing the kingdom proud through his developmental journalism.

He also revealed that there was relative peace in Ogharefe sub-clan,  especially within the Council of Chiefs (Oguedion ) because he was not imposed on the people, hinted that he would duly elected by his people, while warning those fanning ember of war within the Oghara traditional institution to desist forthwith or be ready to face the wrath of the ancestors.

While appealing to his people to always remain peaceful, averred that his doors are open for useful suggestions gear towards developing the kingdom.

In another development,  the Unuevworo of Ogharefe  and Secretary,  Oghara Chieftaincy title committee,  Chief Vincent Atumah has warned those without Chieftaincy certificate to stop parading  themselves traditional Chief of Oghara kingdom.

Chief Atumah disclosed that they are some Chiefs in the kingdom without Chieftaincy certificate issued to them, appealed to them to do the needful or stop deceiving themselves, just as he said that Oghara Kingdom would not recognize such people as Chief.

He thanked the Ovie of Oghara Kingdom and the Unugbrogodo of Ogharefe sub-clan for their leadership prowess in sailing the ship of the traditional institution.
