I inherited moribund ministry says Delta info commissioner

Delta State information commissioner, Mr. Patrick Ukah has disclosed that upon his appointment as information commissioner as at 15th Sept 2015,  the ministry was moribund.

The information commissioner  stated  this when fielding questions from members of Delta Online Publishers Forum also reeling out his stewardship as Delta information commissioner in Asaba explained that he has to fashioned out ways to revived the moribund ministry  he inherited.

Ukah told journalists that his first approved budget upon appointment on Sept 15th, 2015 was N14M, added that he met ministry where local government information officers were working without modern communication gadgets, a ministry that look very dirty; noted that Gov. Okowa  being a working governor was able to manage  the State from the recession.

He also hinted that it was not an easy task for one to be information commissioner in a complex State like Delta State.

Ukah also hinted that the information ministry  under Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa designed  the logo of Delta State, called on Deltans to support Gov. Okowa administration.
Stressed that he thinks that he has done well in his sojourn in the ministry,  lamented that his only regret was for not commissioning the State
