Malaria patients in Delta to receive treatment free--Ononye



Hoperises as Delta State Commissioner for Health Dr. Mordi Ononye stated that treatment for specific cases of malaria will be free in public hospitals across the State while urging Deltans who are diagnosed of malaria to take advantage of the opportunity to assist the government to curtail the menace in the State.

The Delta health commissioner made this known at an event to mark World Malaria Day in Asaba, where he also explained that the State Ministry of Health has perfected plans for the distribution of three million, seven thousand Long Lasting Insecticide Nets, LLIN's for 2019 Replacement Exercise to achieve universal coverage for malaria prevention in the state.

He however expressed Gov. Okowa readiness to curb the menace in the State.
