Ogboru, Omo-agege others fight dirty over election funds, outcome of results

...as Ogboru camp accuses Ovie Omo-Agege of anti party.

Barely few weeks after the governorship and House of Assembly's election in Delta State, the Ogboru/Omo-Agege/Jones led faction of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State have gone bickering over election funds, outcome of elections especially the governorship.

Dependable sources disclosed that accusations and counter accusations which has turned the hitherto tight allies to foes is arising from an allege "misappropriation of election funds by the Governorship Candidate of the party, Chief Great Ogboru" according to reliable sources within the camp of  the Senator Ovie Omo-Agege. It is learnt that the APC Presidential Campaign Council resolved to channel its election fund to states through the sitting Governors of the party and Governorship Candidate of the party in State where there is no APC Governor.

Party Chieftains told our correspondent that the party performed poorly in Delta North and some parts of Delta South Senatorial district where a former Governor of the State, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan was handtwisted for Senator James Manager as well as in Delta Central which is home to major party stakeholders including Chief Ogboru and Senator Ovie Omo-Agege.

While the ruling party in the State, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is celebrating her victory, the duo of Chief Ogboru and Senator Omo-Agege  are trading blames over the woeful lost of the gubernatorial and state house of assembly elections.

Before the election major loyalists of Great Ovedje Ogboru have raised alarm over perceived intention of Omo-Agege to trade off Ogboru's guber ambition for his senatorial reelection bid which allegedly played out with the sudden romance with PDP stalwarts.

Further investigations revealed the Omoagege reached accord with PDP to deliver him as Senator but should work for PDP during the governorship.

It was learnt that in a bid for Omoagege to perfect his plans with PDP on the election eve visited Chief James Ibori in his country home, where all the deals was allegedly sealed.

According to sources with Omoagege informed our correspondent that Omo-agege has resolved to contest the 2023 governorship, a development that PDP many Chieftains described as great threat to David Edevbe governorship ambition

as PDP may pick someone from Oghara or Okpe local government that can match Omoagege, just as they described Omoagege as a hard knot to crack.
