Why Urhobo youths endorsed Okowa--Omoko

National President, Urhobo Progress Union, UPU youth wing, Comr. Nicholas Omoko has advanced reasons why Urhobo youth, the ethnic group of the major opposition candidate, Great Ogboru during their plenary session unanimously endorsed Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa.

The Urhobo youth body according to it's national President, Nicholas Omoko this today immediately after their plenary session which has in attendance all Urhobo imterest groups stated that Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa has done well for the Urhobo people hence they have unanimously endorsed his second term bid to consolidate on what he has started in Urhobo nation.

Omoko also noted that after critical examination of all the candidates for the governorship, they unanimously resolved on Gov. Okowa, for solidly stand behind an illustrious son of Urhobo, Chief James Ibori during his travails, adding that Okowa has also appointed so many Urhobo sons and daughters into key positions, prominent among them are Festus Ovie Agas, Williams Makinde, Peter Mrakpor, Mary Iyasere, David Edevbe among others.

Omoko also hinted that Okowa has also appointed and empowered Urhobo youths more than any other governor since 1999, appealing to all Urhobo youths to support Okowa second term bid since he has signed peace pact with Urhobo traditional rulers to return the governorship position to Urhobo come 2023.

The UPU youth leader also told journalists that Olowa was also fair to Urhobo by spreading projects to all nooks and crannies of Urhobo land, just as he posited that Okowa led

administration single-handedly embarked on the complete renovation and perimeter fencing of the Urhobo House at Uwiamuge; stressing that the only way Urhobo could say thank you is to support his second term bid.

Earlier the UPU youth body had an emergency plenary session where issues were discussed on the development of Urhoboland and for them to take position ahead of the March 9th governorship election.

At the end of the plenary session, the Urhobo youth unveiled a compendium tagged "Okowa score card in Urhobo nation" which was unveiled by the Urhobo youth national President, Nicholas Omoko and seven pages communique was issued.
