Igbakpa faults youth leadership style of Ovade community

People Democratic Party candidate for Ethiope federal house of Representative, Hon. Ben Igbakpa has faulted the charismatic display of youth leadership in Ovade community, just as he decried disintegration and myopic leadership in the community.

The house of representative hopeful made the remarks at Ovade-Oghara during the 2nd Ovade peace and unity lecture organized by Ovade Students and Graduate association of Nigeria, as he advocated for elites with the people's interest at heart to be in leadership positiona for sustainable growth and development.

Igbakpa also seized the opportunity to reassure the people that he is in the race to the Green chamber to discuss national issues favourable to the people, assured of people oriented legislations if elected.

In a related development, the member Representing Ethiope West in the Delta State House of Assembly Hon. Erhiatake IBORI Suenu has lashed President Mohammed Buhari  for mismanagement of the Nation oil as she enjoined Ovade people to be visionary and vote out APC led government

The guest speaker, Dr. Stephen Kekeghe while doing justice to the theme "Ovade yesterday, today and tomorrow" described the community as a weeping oil village that needs education and purposeful leadership.

Earlier, the President of Ovade students and Graduate association of Nigeria PST. Felix Alade  in his address hinted on the need to actively reawaken the consciousness of Ovade indigenes to be free from ignorance, oppression and deprivation, just as he raised issue worthy of note that Ovade is an oil producing community but not among NDDC list.
