Delta Central PDP condemn attacks on Oboro, party faithfuls

Sunreporters- Delta Central Campaign Council of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)  has warned the opposition to desist from politics of violence and intimidation as we approach 2019 general elections in Delta State.

Chairman of the Campaign Council, Olorogun Fred Majemite in a statement by the Secretary of Media and Publicity Committee, Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe noted that APC has resumed politics of bitterness, acrimony and bloodshed, a trademark of the party since Ekiti and Osun governorship elections.

H said PDP and its candidates across board have been engaged in  electioneering issues in the most decent and responsible manner, adding that it is obvious and glaring that APC change mantra has suddenly become tears and blood, wailing and gnashing of teeth across the country.

"We condemn the consistent attacks on our senatorial candidate, Omavowan Oboro Evelyn and PDP faithfuls and to warn those involved in politics of bloodshed to stop killing harmless Deltans, our candidates and party supporters.

"No amount of intimidation and senseless killings will stop the anticipated victory of our dynamic and frontline senatorial candidate, Evelyn Oboro. She is the most qualified and responsible lawmaker who have risen through the ranks to become first female lawmakers in Urhobo Nation.

"We are by this statement warning members of the opposition to stop this madness called politics of bloodshed because nobody has the monopoly of violence.

"We stand for peace and issues based campaign and we expect that APC and their supporters conduct themselves as sane and responsible politicians," the statement added.
