2019: Igbakpa says Church has roles to play in electing Nigeria leaders

Oghara-The People’s Democratic Party candidate for Ethiope House of Representatives, Hon. Ben Igbakpa has urged religious leaders to be part of decision making in electing Nigeria leaders, just as he appealed to them to elect good leaders who would have the interest of the country at heart.

The House of Reps hopeful made the remarks at Christ Baptist Church; Oghara during the birthday thanksgiving service of the publisher, sunreporters, Kparobo Ehvwubare noted that as the country warm up for 2019 general election, the church should take proactive measures to ensuring that leaders with the interest of the people at heart are elected into political positions.

Igbakpa also explained that there is no way the church can function effectively with money, took swipe on those who criticize that the church should not be collecting money of any form from members, averred that members do pay their tithes and offerings willingly and not by force as by peddled in some news platforms.
He thanked the people of Ethiope Federal constituency delegates for voting for him during the PDP primaries, just as he appealed to them to also do same at the general election, assuring them of people oriented bills and policies if elected.
