Urhobo youths under Comr. Nicholas Omoko UPU leadership has tongue-lashed Chief Joe Omene over what they described as empty threats in an attempt to gain cheap popularity over a report allegedly credited to him that he would cause mayhem at the venues of the 2018 Urhobo Day celebration if the Olorogun Moses Taiga UPU leadership go ahead with the planned Urhobo Day celebration.

The Urhobo youths under the aegis of Urhobo Progress Union, UPU youth wing led by Comr. Nicholas Omoko made the remarks in a press statement at the weekend in Oghara urged Urhobo sons and daughters to disregard the statement credited to Joe Omene and his toothless gangsters, just as he advised Omene and his group to support Olorogun Moses Taiga UPU leadership for the interest of Urhobo people.
Stressing that the hitherto Urhobo Day Celebration would hold as scheduled, while warning mischief makers to stay off the venues for the week-long event to avoid the swooping of vibrant Urhobo youth leaders who would be on red alert before, during and after the Urhobo Day celebration.
Omoko also noted that Omene and his gangsters should stop parading themselves as Urhobo leaders, hinted that they have failed in their oars in the past.
He extolled the leadership qualities of Olorogun Moses Taiga UPU leadership, opined that with Taiga was in for the interest of Urhobo not for selfish gains as being hitherto witnessed.
According to the Urhobo youth leader, the 2018 Urhobo Day Celebration would commerce with congress/plenary session on Friday November 30th  Petroleum Training Institute, PTI Conference Center, Effurrun, while paying of homage  by twenty-four kingdoms at Urhobo House at Uvwiamuge, Agbarho on 1st Dec.,  and the event will climax with a thanksgiving service at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at Okpare-Olomu on December 2nd 2018; urging all Urhobo sons and daughters both home and abroad and friends of Urhobo  to  attend the  events.  He added.
Omoko however called on the authourities of PTI to ignore Omene and his gangsters outburst; threatening to cause to mayhem during the events, just as he reassured that UPU youth wing under his leadership is equal to the task to provide the needed conducive atmosphere for the peaceful hosting of the event.
