Oghara monarch recount gains of rotary as Rotary Club of Oghara install new President

Oghara-It was an atmosphere of fun amid excitement in Oghara at the weekend as Rotarian Progress Ejiro Atumah was installed as the 4th President, Rotary club of Oghara, district 9141 Nigeria, just as the father of the day, the traditional ruler of Oghara kingdom, Orefe 111 recount gains of rotary in his life.

Rotarian Atumah who was filled with joy after been installed thank God for making the event a success, assured of better days in 2018-2019 rotary year where he would pilot the affairs of rotary club of Oghara for the next one year.

He explained that his administration would tackle health related issues, support education, promote peace in the area; just as he solicited for support from all and sundry, especially board to enable him actualize his dream in 2018-2019 rotary year.

The President, Rotary club of Oghara who is a lecturer at the Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara paid growing tributes to the traditional ruler of Oghara kingdom, Orefe 111 for the roles he played for the formation of the Rotary club of Oghara during his tenure as District-Governor of district 9140, in charge of eleven States, promised to make the monarch proud through service to humanity which is the tenants of rotary.

Earlier, Orefe 111, the traditional ruler of Oghara kingdom in his address at the event, recount how being a member of rotary club turned his 12 rooms hotel to 52 rooms, connect him to people within and outside Nigeria.

According to Orefe 111, being a Rotarian paved way for him in the struggle for the kingship stool, being someone who always advocate for peace in the community.

The monarch stressed that rotary was not met for everybody but for people of repute, noted that through rotary, he has traveled round globe. However hinted that rotary was not met for job seekers but when join rotary he/she would get job or even employ others.

At the installation of Rotarian Atumah as President of rotary club of Oghara, thirteen (13) members were inducted into the club, with a charge by Orefe 111 for the President to go out and scout for more members.

Those inducted into club includes; Nicholas Omoko (UPU youth wing President-General), Chief Destiny Okwe (the Unugbrogodo of Oghareki), Kparobo Ehvwubare (journalist), Oliver Onodavwerho (Lecturer), Sam Edojah (Businessman), Caroline Omoraka.

Others are: Okpe Mowarin, Ufuaoma Efetobo, Peter Ejomata, Benson Arhinomo, Igho Efetobo and Philip Obonoje respectively.
