It would be recalled that the immediate past National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, APC, John Oyegun inaugurated one Mr. Cyril Ogodo, the factional State Chairman of the Otega Emerhor faction, while the current National Chairman of APC, Adams Oshiomole inaugurated Prophet Jones Erue as the factional Chairman of the Ogboru faction of the party.

The battle in the party was said to be between Omo-agege and Otega Emerhor over who produce the governorship candidate of the party.

According to insider sources, Otega Emerhor want the Party governorship candidate to be from the Delta north who would match the incumbent Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa from that axis, while the votes from Delta central and South would be block votes for the party.

But Ogboru and Omo-agege being selfish and greedy as they are, want Mr. Ogboru to be the party governorship candidate, a decision subtle Ovie Om-agege has succeeded in persuading Adams Oshiomole into, a situation that is currently dividing the party.

Our correspondent gathered that the State Police commissioner has invited both parties to a meeting.
