Ahead of the 2019 general election, where electorates are in search of someone who can represent them effectively in political positions, where their voice can be heard, making dividend of democracy to the grassroot possible, the Oghara people, especially the youths has not dozed off in this regard.

At the weekend, the apex youth body under the aegis of Oghara Youths Association, kinsmen of former Gov. James Ibori took the bull by the horn as they unanimously endorsed a former member of the Delta State House of Assembly and the immediate past transport commissioner, Hon. Ben Igbakpa to represent Ethiope Federal constituency at the green Chambers of the National Assembly, appealed others aspirants vying for the position to queue behind the aspiration of Ben Igbakpa.

Oghara Youths who embarked on sensitization rally at the weekend, matching through the major streets and villages of Oghara numbering over 5000 led by its President, Mr. Favour Ededey who doubles as Special Assistant to Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa on youth development explained that haven peeping through all the aspirants vying for the position, resolved that throw their weight behind the candidature of Ben Igbakpa, who has written his name in sands of time coupled with his vast experience in legislative business.

The Oghara youths noted that ought all the aspirants vying for the position are qualify, asserted that with Igbakpa in at the hallowed Chambers, Ethiope Federal constituency lost glory would be restored; added that by way of the gentleman agreement by the two local governments, Ethiope East has served her eight years, appealing to them to be magnanimous to support Ethiope west come 2019.
“Ethiope Federal constituency is made up of two local government, and by way of sharing formula, it is eight years each, with Sunny Emeyese four years and Lovette Idisi four years to be completed by 2019, I think it is the turn of Ethiope west to produce the member to represent Ethiope Federal constituency”
“Ben Igbakpa has been tested and we are very sure, he would deliver if given the mandate”
The Oghara youth body also endorsed Gov. Ifeany Okowa second term bid, opined that Okowa being a Pan-Delta governor has fulfilled his electoral promises in the three senatorial districts, hence the need to endorse his second term ambition to perfect what he has started.
