Modern political governance has advanced more than imposition of aspirants on the people; politics is to know what the people want and who to represent them at various levels of government in the country.
This was the assertion of former Delta State governor, Chief James Ibori recently when playing host to Ethiope Federal House of Representatives aspirant in the forthcoming general election, Ben Igbakpa at his country home, Oghara, Ethiope west local government Area of Delta State.


The former governor explained that politics is game and it should be played with all sense of responsibility devoid of causing crisis in the society, hence the need to know who the masses want to represent them at a certain levels of governance.
Ibori who described Ben Igbakpa as a man who has all the requisites to represent his people, loved by the people, cautioned against politics of bitterness, just as he averred that haven seeing the level of preparedness of Igbakpa coupled with the massive support being enjoyed from the people, level playing field will be adhered during primaries.

The former governor also advise Igbakpa to consult widely with leaders and stakeholders, hinted that the people was already with him in this struggle.
Earlier, the House of Representatives hopeful, Ben Igbakpa told Chief James Ibori that he was in his residence to officially inform him of his resolved to contest the position of the member to represent Ethiope Federal constituency at the green Chambers of the National Assembly.

“Your Excellency I am here to officially inform you that I want to climb to House of Representatives Chambers to represent the good people of Ethiope Federal constituency”
Igbakpa extolled the leadership qualities of the former governor, told Ibori that he was a student in his political school and he is still l in the former governor political school, but only want to be promoted to the next political class. Igbakpa added.
The House of Representatives hopeful assures Chief Ibori and the people of all inclusiveness at the green Chambers if given the mandate to represent them, expressed confidence of attracting Federal projects to the area.
According to Chief Soso and Chief Sunny Emeyese among others who spoke on behalf of Ethiope East told Ibori that Ethiope East will complete her eight years gentle man agreement between the two local government come 2019, informed Ibori to look into Ethiope West to pick the member to represent the people of Ethiope Federal constituency come 2019.
They noted that after a careful examination, they resolved that Ben Igbakpa should be given the mandate to represent the people at the green Chambers, hence the need they have accompanied him to this consultation.

Among those in Ben Igbakpa entourage to Ibori include; Chief Williams Ibori, the father of the former governor and the Unugbrogodo of Ogharefe, former House of Representatives member, Chief Sunny Emeyse, Chief Destiny Okwe, the Ubugbrogodo of Oghareki, Chief Atagana, Chief Soso, Former member, House of Assembly and commissioner, Chief Emmanuel Ighomena, former House of Assembly member, Chief Hon. Akpomiemie among other chiefs, women, youths that cut across the two local government.
